Selling Your Home or Marketing Themselves?

Marketing Themselves or Selling Your Home.png

Why Would an Agent List a Home They Know Won’t Sell?

Why would someone put no effort to make a real price recommendation and just agree with you, no matter what you say?

Is it unreasonable to assume that an agent who lists a house, knowing that it is overpriced and it might never sell, is doing so because they can still get something out of it?

How About Free Advertising?

Think about it—yard signs, almost 1000 home search websites, social media exposure. And whose name is all over that exposure? Theirs.

Is it unfair to assume that they might also gain some buyers while they have the listing?

And when the house doesn’t sell, and you’ve finally had enough and fire that agent, what’s the actual loss for them? Especially those agents who won’t even invest in professional marketing and snap photos with their phone.

Is there a downside to getting free advertising?

It’s a no-brainer, right? So here’s my question to you—

Is that really the person you want to hire?
